on election day. a few competitive statistics if you will. the high school with the highest percentage of election day workers was thurgood marshall with 74% of their kids registering. 74 turned up. that was great. lincoln and galileo and lowell was part of this program. i want to thank the students for this. i want to reach out to the families and the k-12 and universities. san francisco state we were able to register 3,000 students. and we had the highest number of provisional ballots. we had 600 on that campus. and so this upcoming year we have a few things on the agenda. the department of director is up for review. that is starting in may, and we are starting work on that already. the director is interested in improving accessibility issues. s -- we have requirements of the machines old. and we have received complaints of voters not able to access the cards or not seeing the ballots. so we will work on that this coming year. and is the other issue is the issue of privacy around voter information.

i know the broadcasting world is happy from the election results last night and we can continue to deliver programming for our communities. [applause] and i know we were inspired by the president's words last night when we talked about the importance of diversity and here in san we are no stranger to that language when we celebrate all the different communities we have here in san francisco and the filipino and native american community here in san francisco. we continue to build upon our city's long standing history and celebrate diversity and multiculturalism as a part of our lives and here we celebrating the american indian and enriches the great history of our city. these events are special to us and gives us the opportunity to recognize the unsung heroes whose work goes unnoticed and it's an opportunity to share with the larger community and i would like to thank the native american organizing community and the health center, the health center of santa clara, our office and i would like to make a special note of one of our employees who has been diligent for serving communities in san

if they can't subdue somebody with all the training they had why do they have to elect cute somebody into submission? the united nations it's it's a torture device. where i came from in chicago the victim ruled a homicide they taized him seven times and this is the stuff you all could experience. the problems i had with the police. they come in. they come through. they don't respect black people. every time i have a problem a white person every excuse they can make up to slip it under the table. the last incident i had the officer took the perpetrator -- he put them in the front seat of the car and drove away. they didn't take a statement from nobody. they put them in the front seat and went down the town so this is the type of justice we have. so i'm just -- the tazer thing is not acceptable. you have to think about people are trained -- like samurais they are trained so they can defend against someone with a sword and the cavmar -- they're trained hand to hand combat to deal with people with guns, et cetera so they don't have to use any type of weapons and we just need more trainin
